My Story
My passion for holistic health and nutrition began with a powerful realization: true health isn’t just about what you eat—it’s about how you live.
That insight came from my own journey. For years, I struggled with acne, digestive issues, extreme fatigue, depression, and joint pain. I felt like I was just surviving, not thriving. But everything started to shift when I made intentional changes to my nutrition and lifestyle. My symptoms began to ease, and I finally felt like myself again—energized, confident, and truly well.
Before becoming a nutrition therapist, I worked in a hospital. There, I saw another side of the story—patients battling chronic illness and preventable disease, often without ever being asked about what they were eating or how they were living. I saw the disconnect between the care people needed and the care they were receiving. And that lit a fire in me.
I became determined to be part of the solution. I earned my certification as a Nutrition Therapist through the Nutrition Therapy Institute and later had the opportunity to coach alongside Dr. Kurt Perkins, a respected functional health practitioner. Eventually, I founded EMPWRD—a coaching practice focused on bridging the gap between conventional healthcare and real, sustainable wellness solutions.
